- Standard Edition provides rights for up to 2 virtual OSEs or Hyper-V containers when all physical cores in the server are licensed. Customers can increase 2 VMs at a time by licensing all the physical cores in the server again.
- Datacenter Edition provides rights for unlimited virtual machine OSEs and Hyper-V containers.
- Servers are licensed based on the number of processor cores in the physical server. All physical cores in the server must be licensed.
- A minimum of 8 core licenses are required for each physical processor and a minimum of 16 core licenses are required for each server.
- Install media and product key are only provided with the Base License
